About the job
Do you want to run your own general practice, make your own decisions, and work independently from large practice groups? In the canton of Aargau, a rare opportunity arises: a financially established solo practice with a loyal patient base, a long-standing medical practice assistant, and exceptionally favourable takeover conditions. Here you can shape your professional future yourself without having to start from scratch.
In a growing community in the Bremgarten district, a long-established general practice is available for takeover. The current owner wishes to retire after a long medical career and is seeking a long-term successor.
The practice is firmly rooted in the community, has a large patient base, and is well networked locally. The demand for general medical care is high, and many patients explicitly wish for the practice to continue.
Particularly valuable is the support of a medical practice assistant who has worked in the practice for around 30 years. She knows the procedures, the patients, and the local conditions very well.
The premises cover around 150 m² with two consultation rooms, a therapy room, a laboratory, and other practice rooms. The electronic medical records and IT systems have been continuously modernised. Individual medical devices can be renewed according to your own ideas.
Your tasks:
- Takeover of an established solo practice with an existing patient base
- Independent organisation of your consultation hours, working times, and medical focus
- Broad general medical work including diagnostics, treatment, and long-term patient care
- Continuation of the existing regional networking with other medical service providers
- Gradual modernisation and further development of the practice according to your own ideas
- If desired, consideration of part-time models or joint practice management
Your qualifications:
- Specialist title in General Internal Medicine or equivalent qualification recognised in Switzerland
- Enjoyment of broad and independent general medical work
- Desire to take on entrepreneurial responsibility and make your own decisions
- Interest in a long-term role in a manageable community
- Enjoyment of personal contact with a long-standing patient base and local networking
Your benefits:
- Over CHF 200,000 income potential: The long-established practice offers an attractive economic prospect with comparable workload
- Exceptionally fair takeover conditions: The current owner places great value on a successful succession and is very accommodating regarding purchase price, payment terms, and handover
- Attractive rental conditions: Significantly reduced rent and a landlord willing to invest in the premises
- Existing patient base: You take over a well-established practice with continuous demand instead of having to build your own patient base from scratch
- Long-standing support: An experienced medical practice assistant who has known the operation and patients for decades
- Full independence: No overarching corporate structures or externally dictated medical decisions
- Flexible handover: The current owner is willing to personally support the succession during a transition period if needed
- Room for development: Opportunities for modernisation and possibly spatial expansion
- Good accessibility: Attractive residential area in Aargau with proximity to Zurich, Zug, and Baden
- Low emergency service burden: The regular regional emergency service is largely covered by a central structure
