The Museum of Design Zurich is the leading Swiss museum for design and visual communication. Its collection unites over half a million objects from graphic and design history and is of international significance. As part of the Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK, the museum is engaged in research and teaching and regularly realises its own exhibitions and publications. Intern Exhibition Motion Graphics, 40%
In this role, you are part of the graphic collection team and support the project team of the "Motion Graphics" exhibition in its content development and concrete implementation. The exhibition will be shown from 21 October 2027 at the Ausstellungsstrasse location. In addition to project-related activities, you will gain insight into the various departments of the museum.
Your tasks
Your tasks
The focus of your work lies in researching topics and exhibits represented in the exhibition, recording the digital exhibits in the exhibition database, and exchanging with the involved designers. You will take on administrative tasks during the project, conduct correspondence in German, English, and ideally also French, write minutes, and participate in meetings. You are also responsible for recording the captions of the exhibits. You will be actively involved in the complex implementation and setup of the exhibition. Furthermore, there is the possibility to accompany a workshop or conduct tours in the exhibition after its opening.
Your profile
For this position, we are looking for a highly motivated, committed, and proactive individual. You have a university degree (Bachelor or Master) in the fields of Visual Communication, Media Design/Interaction Design, or a comparable qualification and bring a special interest in Motion Design. You have very good oral and written language skills in German and English as well as proven experience with video and editing programmes and preferably also application knowledge in graphic programmes. Flexibility and teamwork are your strengths, and you work independently, carefully, and reliably. Curiosity and career goals in the field of curating are also desired.
