Plant Operator Foundry (Specialist) 100% (m/f/d)

What is my role?

• Responsible production, alloying and treatment of various cast iron qualities such as GJL and GJS in an independent working manner

• Professional relining, repair work and maintenance measures on induction furnaces as well as casting ladles including refractory lining

• Ensuring and monitoring compliance with all melting regulations

• Sampling and conducting tests such as thermoanalyses and spectral analyses

• Complete and precise documentation of all relevant melting data

• Consistent observance and implementation of applicable safety and environmental protection regulations throughout the melting area

What do I need to be successful?

• Completed technical basic training in the foundry environment with a federal vocational certificate (EFZ), ideally as a foundry technologist, plant operator or comparable qualification

• Several years of professional experience in the foundry, especially in the melting operation, is a great advantage

• Sound knowledge of metallurgy and handling of various cast iron qualities (GJL, GJS) desirable

• Experience in operating and maintaining induction furnaces as well as in refractory lining

• Understanding of quality assurance processes and analytical methods (thermoanalysis, spectral analysis)

• Very good German language skills, spoken and written, for seamless documentation and team communication

• High physical and mental resilience for shift work and working under demanding conditions

• Strong team skills and communication abilities for collaboration with various departments

• Reliability, sense of responsibility and independent working style

• Safety awareness and strict adherence to safety and environmental protection regulations

• Willingness for continuous training and adaptation to new technologies

• Shift readiness (early, late and possibly night shifts)
