Job description
The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva benefits from an enriching multicultural dynamic to which it contributes through its influence within the framework of its mandates: teaching, research and its partnership with the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG).
The Department of Paediatrics, Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the Faculty of Medicine has the mission to promote, through its research, quality care adapted to the needs of women at every stage of their lives and to the health problems faced by newborns, children and adolescents from birth to the age of 16. It works towards the development of cutting-edge services and centres of expertise in specialities.
To support the investigators of the Department in the implementation and management of their projects, the Paediatrics, Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinical Research Platform is looking for a:
Scientific Assistant 1 at 10%
We are seeking a candidate with a midwife profile or a nurse particularly specialised in the fields of gynaecology and obstetrics but who can also contribute to paediatric projects, within the limits of their skills.
The main duties of the position are:
Participate in the implementation and management of clinical trials and other studies of the platform;
Schedule appointments with patients, coordinate between the various study stakeholders (within and outside the institution) and support patients.
Ensure the care of participants within the framework of clinical studies, collect information necessary for the clinical research protocol and perform examinations provided for in the protocols.
Collect examination results and enter them into the database of ongoing studies.
Required qualifications and skills
Bachelor HES-SO in midwifery or nursing or an equivalent midwifery qualification recognised by the Red Cross;
Certificate of good clinical practice;
Previous experience in gynaecology and obstetrics as well as 3-5 years of clinical experience;
Genuine interest in research;
Good team spirit and proven interpersonal skills;
Ability to work independently relying on your organisational skills and initiative.

Additional information
Permanent public law contract. A 70% HUG contract complements this position.
