The position is attached to the Department of Women, Children and Adolescents , which aims to provide quality care tailored to the needs of women at every stage of their lives, and to address the health issues faced by newborns, children and adolescents from birth up to the age of 16. It works on the development of cutting-edge services and specialist competence centres.
Within our administrative service, we wish to offer patients, the public, and staff a courteous, empathetic and competent service, both by telephone and at the various reception desks.
Job Description
The admissions sector of the Department of Women, Children and Adolescents (DFEA) is looking for a team member to strengthen its team.
You are the first point of contact, both by telephone and at reception, providing a professional, courteous and empathetic service, while demonstrating a reassuring and caring attitude.
Your main duties consist of welcoming, informing and directing people presenting at admissions.
You carry out their administrative registration, ensuring the accuracy of the information.
You manage appointment scheduling and coordination with the various relevant services.
You perform various administrative tasks related to the smooth running of the service.
You also provide cover within the team when needed.
This position requires availability for irregular hours, in continuous service 24/7, including night shifts.
Qualifications
You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification, with at least 3 years’ experience in a reception and patient administrative management service, and are familiar with medical terminology.
Thanks to your organisational skills and interpersonal qualities, you ensure smooth coordination of administrative activities and appointments, in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
You know how to prioritise requests, manage emergency or stressful situations, and demonstrate excellent listening skills within a large multidisciplinary team.
Your adaptability and sense of service enable you to provide appropriate responses to patients’ requests.
You are proficient in common computer software (Microsoft Office suite) and have knowledge of institutional tools (OPALE, DPI, DPA, GRECO 2), as well as the Swiss social system (LAMal, AI, etc.).
You have perfect command of the French language, both spoken and written (writing skills).
You possess good knowledge of English and/or several other languages (Spanish, Portuguese, etc.), which are considerable assets.
