About the job
mateco Switzerland AG is a family-run company - the Swiss market leader for the most modern height access technology with the most diverse fleet across more than 35 rental stations, 6 service locations, 8 training centres and over 115 employees. We are pioneers in an industry that has evolved and continuously improved. One thing has always been our tradition: thinking innovatively and moving forward with courage, motivation and enthusiasm.
You like to get stuck in yourself, keep an overview and want to take responsibility? With us, you combine both: you work on modern aerial work platforms and lead your team colleagues both professionally and personally. Together, you ensure that our equipment is used reliably and safely.
For our location in Birsfelden BL, we are looking for a
Workshop Manager 100%
Here you can make a difference:
- You keep the workshop on track: you plan and organise maintenance and repair work on our aerial work platforms and other equipment – and you get stuck in yourself
- You take on leadership: you lead your team colleagues professionally and personally and ensure good cooperation in the daily workshop routine
- You get to the bottom of faults: with modern diagnostic devices, you systematically check our machines for malfunctions and safety defects. With your quality controls, you ensure they are ready for use
- You are also needed on site: in case of faults and breakdowns, you support our customers directly at the place of use – with a well-equipped service vehicle
- You ensure smooth handovers: you ensure the issue and return of our work platforms and help to instruct our rental customers in their operation
- You keep an eye on the big picture: for organisational questions and topics concerning the infrastructure at the Birsfelden site, you are the contact person
This is what you bring with you:
- A completed basic training in a mechanical profession, for example as a car, truck, agricultural or construction machinery mechanic or mechatronics technician
- Enjoyment of modern technology and willingness to learn new things. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electronics is a plus
- Desire for leadership responsibility. Experience in leading a small team is an advantage
- An independent, careful and solution-oriented way of working – you and your work are reliable
- Team spirit and enjoyment of customer contact
- Very good German skills; English skills are welcome
- A driving licence category B, ideally also BE and C
- A forklift licence – or willingness to obtain one
And when it goes up? Then you stay relaxed – because you are not afraid of heights.
What you can look forward to:
- Variety in everyday work: workshop, customer assignments and leadership tasks ensure diverse work
- Technology that inspires: you can expect a modern and versatile fleet with high safety standards
- Room for personal responsibility: you organise, get stuck in and actively shape the daily workshop routine
- A good start: we carefully induct you and support you in a collegial environment
- Knowledge that advances you: you benefit from training and further education directly with manufacturers or with us in-house
- Flexible holiday models: up to 8 weeks of holiday per year
- A well-accessible workplace: free parking spaces are available
- Collaboration on equal terms: we have a partnership-based informal culture throughout the company
