Responsibilities

To expand our management team at the Zurich location, we are looking for a committed Director (m/f/d) in the area of Cost Management Service:

• Taking over the strategic consulting of construction projects for our renowned international clients.
• Leading a cost management team and ensuring the fulfillment of all service responsibilities.
• Assuming a leading role in communication with the client, project participants, and other consultants in all project phases.
• Monitoring compliance with project objectives as well as defined processes and systems.
• Providing cost estimates and construction cost planning on conceptual, programmatic, and detailed levels as well as preparing feasibility studies.
• Carrying out all aspects of procurement, including managing the prequalification phase, bid analyses, preparing bid reports, and compiling contract documents.
• Responsibility for cost audits and valuation services on larger projects as well as ensuring a timely and precise cost audit and valuation process.
• Leading value engineering initiatives as well as negotiating and finalizing final accounts.
• Preparing monthly cost reports, including presentations for the client.
• Employee selection, leadership, and development.
• Actively pursuing existing contacts and business opportunities, expanding the network, and positioning our services in new application areas.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in Quantity Surveying and MRICS accreditation.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the above-mentioned topics and tasks as well as extensive experience in the role of client representative in construction projects in the commercial sector (including office and commercial buildings, hotel construction).
• Relevant experience with business development activities, e.g., through previous self-employment or as part of management.
• International work experience as well as experience in the Swiss market; experience with Swiss BKP and SIA standards.
• Extensive knowledge in modern team leadership as well as excellent communication, presentation, and moderation skills, determination, and empathy.
• Fluent English skills and good German skills (min. B1) in spoken and written form as well as confident handling of MS Office applications; experience with spreadsheet programs and routine use of project management platforms.
