Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Sylvana University Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (CUTR) is located in Epalinges.
The care offered in treatment and rehabilitation centers aims to accelerate or enable a return home. It also helps patients recover physical or cognitive functions affected by illness or accident, or allows them to adapt to their new condition.
In this sense, the mission of CUTR Sylvana is part of the home care policy of the canton of Vaud.
Interprofessional collaboration is the essential element of CUTR's operation as it allows comprehensive patient support, taking into account their environment.
Mission
- You provide daily care, assist with personal care, meals, bedtime, and accompany patients during movements, mainly between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- You encourage their participation in activities, help organize simple events, and remain attentive to their needs
- You ensure the maintenance of living spaces, manage laundry, and prepare meals
- You handle routine purchases, check equipment condition, and perform simple administrative tasks
- You work in a multidisciplinary team and communicate necessary information. You contribute to maintaining a pleasant and adapted living environment
- You participate in health prevention and promotion activities with patients.
Profile
- You have completed compulsory schooling, certified by a certificate or attestation
- You are at least 18 years old (possibility to start at 16 with prior internships)
- You have a strong interest in health and well-being of people
- You are comfortable in human contact and demonstrate empathy and active listening
- You have proven teamwork skills and show collaboration, while being able to work independently
- You are organized, thorough, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, even in stressful environments.
