Social Pedagogue as Residential Coach in the ParaWG Zurich

The ParaWG residential training in Schenkon, Nottwil and Zurich offers people with spinal cord injuries as well as people with spinal cord-like symptoms specific learning fields, with the aim of living independently and autonomously. The staff of ParaWG support the clients in the time-limited residential training in promoting their self-competence and self-management.

These are your tasks

• Responsibility for resource- and solution-oriented everyday support of persons with spinal cord injury or spinal cord-like syndromes during professional and social integration
• Promotion of the clients' independence, including the involvement of their origin and support systems and integration into society
• Responsibility for planning, developing, implementing and reflecting on measures and training units that enable clients to achieve their goals during residential training
• Key contact person for several clients during residential training at ParaWG and collaboration with their relatives
• Preparation of documentation for the cost bearers
• Work in shift service and partly also at weekends as well as taking on on-call duties

This is what distinguishes you

• Training as a social pedagogue HF/FH or specialist caregiver EFZ with several years of professional experience and preferably experience in dealing with people with spinal cord injury
• Ideally completed IVR1 course or willingness to complete it
• Open, flexible and team-oriented personality who values interdisciplinary collaboration and a dynamic environment
• Flexibility regarding working hours (e.g. shift work, weekends)
• Resilience in dealing with setbacks
