Data Systems Engineer 80 - 100% (m/f/d)

What is my role?

You are responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data systems and infrastructures. You develop scalable data architectures and ensure smooth data flow between different systems. In doing so, you work closely with data scientists, software developers, and other teams to create optimal data solutions. You take care of performance optimisation of databases and implement monitoring and backup strategies. Furthermore, you ensure data security and compliance.

What do I need to be successful?

• Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification

• Several years of experience in data engineering or system administration

• Solid knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

• Knowledge of ETL processes and data pipeline tools (e.g. Apache Kafka, Airflow)

• Programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala

• Understanding of data modelling and data warehousing

• Analytical thinking and structured working style

• Teamwork skills and good communication abilities

• Very good German skills, English skills advantageous
