Socio-educational Referent (m/f/x) (80%)
The Training and Integration House (MFI), composed of a multidisciplinary team of 20 people, has the mission to welcome and accommodate persons who have obtained refugee status, whether minors, young adults or families. The MFI supports residents in their first steps towards integration in the canton of Fribourg by offering professional and caring socio-educational follow-up. Access to occupation programmes in the fields of concierge services, cooking and housekeeping. Pre-school classes prepare children until their entry into public school and a nursery is available for the youngest. Unaccompanied minors benefit from a support programme specifically adapted to their needs. In addition to various integration activities, the MFI offers beneficiaries a secure and warm community living space respecting each person’s identity, background and culture.
Your tasks
Main tasks – socio-educational referent:
- Assume the role of key person for the socio-educational support of beneficiaries, including unaccompanied minors
- Welcome, accompany and support beneficiaries in their integration into the canton of Fribourg
- Ensure a socio-educational presence within the home and during events
- Be responsible for supervision, compliance with regulations, rights and duties within the MFI and externally
- Actively collaborate within the educational team and with various partners to provide quality services
- Coordinate the actions of various stakeholders around the beneficiary’s integration project
Our requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from a university or university of applied sciences in the social, educational field or equivalent training
- Trainer practitioner diploma would be an asset
Professional experience:
- Experience in migration and integration
- Good knowledge of the institutional and associative network in Fribourg
- Experience in supervising university of applied sciences interns would be an asset
Key skills:
- Case management, ability to conduct interviews and develop socio-educational projects
- Initiative and excellent work organisation
- Ability to work in a team and network
- Excellent social and intercultural skills
- Comfortable using IT tools
- Driving licence preferred
