In this elegant 4-star hotel with 24 rooms, we pamper our guests with traditional Swiss cuisine in the Löwenstobe (50 seats) and create unforgettable experiences in the Löwensaal for events. The spacious outdoor area accommodates up to 80 guests and provides a perfect setting to enjoy.
- Overall responsibility for the wine selection of the Appenzeller Huus across all restaurants and bars
- Development and maintenance of wine lists as well as responsibility for purchasing, costing, and wine storage
- Leadership, promotion, and training of the sommelier team
- Development of exclusive wine events, tastings, and culinary concepts
- Ensuring the highest quality standards in wine service and close collaboration with kitchen and F&B
- Completed training in hospitality or gastronomy (EFZ or equivalent)
- Advanced sommelier training (e.g. WSET Level 3, CMS Advanced or equivalent)
- Several years of experience as Head Sommelier or in a comparable leadership position
- Sound knowledge of the international wine market as well as purchasing and inventory management
- Very good German and English skills (at least B2); additional languages are an advantage
- Entrepreneurial thinking, leadership skills, and a host personality
