The position combines approximately equal parts work in our psychiatric outpatient clinic with deployment in the interdisciplinary emergency department at the Burgdorf site.
We are looking for an Assistant Physician Adult Psychiatry (a) 80–100% to start immediately or by arrangement.
Your main tasks
- You diagnose and treat the full spectrum of psychiatric disorders under specialist supervision
- You independently care for your own patients in the outpatient setting
- You conduct psychiatric assessments and crisis interventions in the interdisciplinary emergency department
- You work in consultation and liaison psychiatry within the somatic hospital
- You collaborate interprofessionally with medical specialties, psychology, nursing, and other professional groups
- You contribute to the preparation of psychiatric expert reports
Your profile
- You have completed your medical studies with a Swiss diploma or a qualification recognised by MEBEKO
- Psychiatric prior experience, especially in the inpatient setting, is advantageous but not required
- You are interested in the full range of adult psychiatry and psychiatric emergency situations
- You work independently, in a structured and responsible manner
- You remain confident even in demanding clinical situations
- You enjoy interprofessional and interdisciplinary collaboration
- You are willing to take increasing responsibility for your own outpatient treatment activities
