Who are we?
The Forests and Nature Service (SFN) is responsible for the management and conservation of forests, biotopes, landscapes, the protection and promotion of flora and fauna, prevention and protection against natural hazards, and forestry training. It has a territorial presence covering the entire canton of Fribourg. Its various tasks are coordinated at the central level and implemented in the forestry districts as well as in the wildlife monitoring regions.

Your missions
- You ensure the technical, organisational and strategic management of the 2nd forestry district
- You commit to the protection, conservation and sustainable development of forests
- You actively participate in the management of protection forests
- You plan, coordinate and support measures to promote biodiversity
- You support the development of multifunctional and forward-looking forest management
Desired profile
- You preferably hold a degree as a forest engineer from ETH Zurich or a university of applied sciences (UAS), or an equivalent qualification
- You have personnel management skills and experience in a leadership position
- You possess strong teamwork and communication skills and are comfortable in your relations with forestry sector stakeholders, authorities and partners
- You have in-depth knowledge in the fields of protection forest maintenance and forest engineering and are interested in promoting biodiversity as well as forestry policing issues
- You are proficient with common IT tools, have experience using geographic information systems and possess project management skills
- You work independently, take responsibility and are capable of successfully managing complex tasks in a structured manner
- You master the German language and have very good knowledge of French
