The Neufeld Gymnasium is a public school of the Canton of Bern with around 1,850 students, 220 teachers and 50 employees. The school sets clear and high demands on teachers and learners and values comprehensive advice and support. The three gymnasium departments (Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Department of Economics and Law) are organised according to the main subjects and lead to a gymnasium matriculation certificate. The training in the fourth department, the Bern Maturity School for Adults, leads to a gymnasium matriculation certificate or the Passerelle examination. The fifth department, the cantonal specialised middle school, offers a three-year course with a cantonal specialised middle school or specialised maturity certificate.

Tasks
Support the Neufeld Gymnasium in computer science! We are filling a position for teaching at the gymnasium and the FMS, which can be combined with working in our IT services (ID). While teaching starts on 1 February 2027, the IT services position is officially to be filled from 1 August 2027. However, a phased start in IT services is already possible and desired from February.
Requirements
For this role, we are looking for a committed teacher with completed professional training and the teaching diploma Sek II (or close to completion) and ideally teaching experience at the gymnasium or FMS. For working in IT services, you should enjoy conceptual thinking and additionally have sound knowledge in system administration and network technology or be interested in familiarising yourself with these areas.
