The role of mechanical design engineer meets the needs for the design of parts, products and calculations. Its tasks include drafting content or managing specifications, modelling 2D / 3D plans, designing products and parts, and finally conducting testing phases. It uses CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) tools as well as mechanical calculation software.

This role requires mastery of mechanics and the most common materials, as well as proficiency in modelling techniques and tools (e.g. Solidworks, Catia, Pro-Engineer / Creo PTC, Top Solid) which are necessary. It is also recommended to master mathematical software such as ANSYS or Matlab.

This job is aimed at candidates with professional training and an engineering degree in mechanics or a master’s in mechanical engineering who already have at least some experience in mechanical system design. You will need to be able to work in a group to devise the best technical response to a need. We are therefore looking for a person who is proactive and innovative and capable of clearly and precisely explaining their ideas using the appropriate technical vocabulary.

You will need to master at least one CAD software (SolidWorks, Catia or Creo PTC / Pro-Engineer) and be familiar with several manufacturing processes. It is even better if you have skills in thermal or vibrational simulation, IT or marketing to collaborate effectively with each department regardless of the project, field or sector.
