Network Specialist Telecommunications (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF65,000 - 80,000Role:
In this role, you plan and implement installations in data centres as well as network and transmission technology in the field of optical networks and ensure stable connections through systematic fault isolation. You are responsible for independently solving technical problems, carrying out switching orders, expansions and maintenance work, and ensuring high service quality through quality measurements in the optical environment. Additionally, you take on the commissioning and swaps of network elements, document all work steps, and ensure reliable operation through preventive maintenance. You support customers by phone and on site, advise them technically, and accompany them throughout the entire lifecycle of the deployed solutions. Through your independent and service-oriented working style, you contribute significantly to operating demanding telecommunications networks efficiently and future-proof.
Responsibilities:
- You plan and carry out installations for data centres as well as network and transmission technology
- In this role, you systematically isolate technical problems in optical networks and solve them independently
- As a network specialist telecommunications, you carry out switching orders, expansions and commissioning including quality measurements in the optical environment
- You undertake maintenance work and preventive maintenance on network elements and technical-operational facilities
- In this role, you support, advise and accompany our customers by phone and on site and document all processes
- You support the service team by participating in the on-call service and are responsible for repair processing (RMA)
Qualifications:
- You have successfully completed a technical vocational training (e.g. as an electronics technician in information and telecommunications technology or a comparable qualification).
- You have at least 2 years of professional experience in network technology, especially in the field of optical networks (WDM).
- You have experience in technical consulting of end customers and present yourself in a service-oriented manner.
- Ideally, you are familiar with carrier Ethernet systems, SDN and metro Ethernet systems.
- Knowledge or initial experience in the field of radio technology is an advantage.
- You work independently and solution-oriented, are a team player and communicate confidently in German (with good basic knowledge of English); driving licence class B available.
