About the job

To complete the school authority from 1 August 2023, the Münchwilen school is looking for a school president (50%). The Münchwilen school, with the primary school locations Kastanienhof and Oberhofen as well as the Waldegg secondary school, educates over 700 children with around 120 staff members. Each school centre is operationally led by a school management team. In addition, a head caretaker is responsible for the entire infrastructure. These functions are administratively supported by the school secretariat. The strategic overall management with corresponding control and development tasks lies with the school authority. We are looking for a person who • has an interest in educational matters and is open to school and societal developments; • is decisive, a team player, and discreet; • enjoys taking responsibility and can think and plan conceptually; • has time resources of approximately 50% of a full-time position, can imagine a multi-year commitment, and has or can take up residence in Münchwilen. We offer • a well-coordinated, personally functioning authority board; • very committed, reliable, and open school management teams; • strategic leadership tasks in the areas of school development, pedagogy, social affairs, media, and infrastructure; • holistic concept and project work including budget responsibility, especially in the media department; • professional and personnel leadership of the school authority and school administration.
