Tasks
- Planning and implementation of projects and documentation of the international Init7 backbone (AS13030). Expansion, replacement, and reconstruction of existing POPs as well as the establishment of new POPs (including responsibility for deadlines)
- Ensuring operation and maintaining the high availability of our network infrastructure (mainly Cisco and Extreme Networks)
- Planning, design, and implementation of customer projects (with components from Ubiquiti, MikroTik, Cisco, ZyXEL)
- Handling complex support cases (3rd Level Support)
- Maintaining technical documentation and further developing monitoring systems (optimization & definition of guidelines)
- Defining implementation processes & training employees
- On-call duty
- Analysis, planning, and implementation of network solutions (e.g. BGP, MPLS, VPN, DIA) including direct customer contact
- Multicast knowledge & interest is an advantage
- Implementation of internal network projects, introduction of new technologies, and promotion of automation in operational processes (e.g. using Ansible)

- Work permit Switzerland or EU
- Professional experience in a similar position with Cisco and/or Extreme Networks (Brocade) devices or Arista
- High self-initiative
- Cisco certifications or comparable knowledge, you are proficient in all relevant protocols
- Knowledge in traffic engineering and transit/peering/CDN principles
- Experience with telemetry and configuration automation tools
- Understanding of network and system security
- English: very good spoken and written skills
- German: not mandatory, but an advantage
- Other foreign languages welcome
- Driving license category B
