We transport over 23 million passengers annually by road and rail. Around 500 employees ensure every day that our passengers reach their destination safely, on time, and relaxed through various exciting and diverse activities. Together, we make a significant contribution to the development of sustainable mobility in the region. You can also contribute. The Rolling Stock department, with its 75 employees, is responsible for providing the necessary rail vehicles. Tasks include procurement, modernization, and maintenance of passenger and infrastructure trains. The department includes two depots, a workshop, as well as the areas of technology, logistics, and purchasing.
Your Tasks
- You will manage the mechanical systems of our multiple unit and service vehicle fleets (brakes, wheel/rail, lubrication systems)
- You will support maintenance with advice and proactive analyses (e.g., wheelset diagnosis)
- You will develop and document changes to the systems/vehicles
- You will collaborate with other teams/departments (depots, workshops, regulations) to ensure the safe and compliant operation of our fleets
- You will lead sub-projects primarily in the area of service vehicles (e.g., procurement of modules)
- Participation in the procurement, refit, and revision of passenger trains and service vehicles (e.g., requirements, concept review, factory acceptance, commissioning)
Your Profile
- Committed and open personality with a careful working style and a talent for complex technical relationships
- Basic training in the technical, preferably mechanical field
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems as well as diesel engines is an advantage
- Completed further training in the technical and/or business management field or the willingness to undergo further training
- Experience in or enjoyment of rail vehicle technology as well as operation/regulations
- Enthusiasm for collaboration in a team, with other departments, suppliers, and authorities
- Good language skills in German and English
