Head of Housekeeping 100%
Your Tasks
- Professional and personnel responsibility for the housekeeping area (cleaning, laundry)
- Leading a team of around 12 employees and promoting an appreciative and binding team culture
- Creating deployment and vacation plans (PEP) as well as conducting employee interviews
- Ensuring compliance with hygiene, quality, and occupational safety standards
- Conducting regular quality checks and continuous process optimization
Responsibility for budget, material management, and economic control of the area - Ensuring the preservation of value of the building, furniture, and infrastructure
- Coordinating interfaces with care, technical services, administration, and management
- Further development of the area considering operational and economic requirements
- Regular operational presence in daily life (hands-on mentality) to support the team and ensure quality standards
- Ensuring a structured flow of information within the team and towards superiors
- Proactive shaping of everyday work and ongoing optimization of the area of responsibility
What You Bring
- Training in housekeeping (e.g., certified housekeeper EFZ or department head in hotel-housekeeping with federal diploma/ professional certificate)
- Mandatory several years of leadership experience in a comparable role in a larger company; knowledge of healthcare is an advantage
- Experience in leading employees from diverse cultural backgrounds
- High social competence and affinity for people of various nationalities and life worlds
- Ability to prioritize information in a structured way, communicate appropriately to the target audience, and professionally coordinate interfaces
- Process-oriented and economic thinking as well as structured, solution-oriented working style
- Diplomacy, discretion, and a strong sense for elderly people
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form
- Confident handling of Office applications and common IT programs (ideally knowledge of Polypoint and Business Central)
