Scientific Staff Member Biosafety / Neobiota
The Biosafety Section is responsible for the protection of humans, animals, the environment and biological diversity from hazards posed by pathogenic, genetically modified or non-native organisms. Our enforcement tasks include activities in the areas of prevention, control, damage minimisation and coordination. Would you like to take on these diverse challenges and make a meaningful contribution to the environment in the canton?
Your tasks
The position includes enforcement, advice and training in the field of Neobiota. You are, among other things, jointly responsible for the development and implementation of the Neobiota action plan in the canton of Zurich. This requires close cooperation with other cantonal specialist offices and federal authorities, as well as participation in or leadership of specialist working groups. You will work in a committed collegial team and supervise an intern.
Your profile
You have a completed university degree in biology (preferably organismic biology, ecology) or environmental natural sciences as well as several years of professional experience. Experience with the topic of Neobiota and project management is an advantage. Flawless and confident German in writing and speaking and good knowledge of French complete your profile.
