The Perceval Foundation is looking for a psychomotor therapist (M/F)
Your mission
Within a multidisciplinary team, you work with children presenting various types of disabilities and contribute to their overall development, well-being and autonomy.
Your main tasks will notably include:
- Conducting psychomotor assessments and clinical observations to identify the skills, difficulties and specific needs of each child
- Implementing individual and/or small group psychomotor therapy sessions, adapted to the abilities and objectives of each child
- Working on the different psychomotor dimensions: gross and fine motor skills, balance, coordination, body schema, spatio-temporal orientation, praxis, muscle tone, tonic-emotional regulation and attentional capacities
- Promoting the development of autonomy, self-confidence and the skills necessary for the child’s participation in their various living environments
- Adapting therapeutic proposals to the sensory, motor, cognitive and relational particularities of each child
- Participating in the development and monitoring of individualised projects
- Collaborating closely with the various professionals working with the child: educators, teachers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, psychologists, doctors, etc.
- Communicating with families and participating in discussions about the child’s needs
- Ensuring observations, transmissions and reports necessary for the follow-up of care
Profile sought
We are looking for a person who:
- Holds a psychomotor therapist diploma recognised in Switzerland allowing professional practice Ideally has initial experience with children with disabilities
- Appreciates working in a multidisciplinary team
- Is creative in finding suitable mediations and activities
- Has good observation, clinical analysis and adaptation skills
- Demonstrates kindness, patience and a professional attitude that promotes the child’s skills
- Experience with children presenting neurodevelopmental disorders, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder or motor difficulties is an asset
