The Saphir Foundation, a multi-mission and multi-site foundation (psychogeriatrics, geriatrics, adult psychiatry), is active in the medico-social field in the canton of Vaud and in the reception and support of people weakened in their physical and psychological integrity during their life process.
To support our service during a maternity leave replacement, we are looking for our establishment EMS Mont-Riant in Yverdon-les-Bains, which accommodates 56 people and specialises in the field of advanced age psychiatry:

Whatever their role, the professionals of the Saphir Foundation share a common will, that of supporting people daily to enable them to concretely experience the institutional service strategy "like at home". That is to say, to preserve their habits as much as possible, to offer a response adapted to their wishes and, through genuine interprofessional collaboration, to enable the well-being and happiness of the people.
As a nurse, you provide preventive, therapeutic, rehabilitative and palliative nursing care under the supervision of the care manager and the doctor. You have a continuous reflective practice that allows you to assess and analyse, among other things, the biopsychosocial and spiritual dimensions of the people. You manage all medical emergencies and will activate emergency procedures if necessary. Furthermore, you participate in examinations and observations for medical diagnosis. Through your person-centred values, you establish a relationship of trust with the people and their relatives, creating a safe and adapted environment to their needs.
YOUR BACKGROUND - YOUR QUALITIES AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or recognised equivalent
- Observational skills enabling rapid assessment of complex situations and guiding interventions to avoid hospitalisations or falls
- Non-pharmacological approach
- Strong sense of responsibility and proven leadership
- Dynamic, attentive, flexible, adaptable and organised
- Attitude centred on the well-being of the person
- Fluency in spoken and written French as well as proficiency with IT tools (Carefolio)
- Knowledge of the Swiss health system is an asset
