The EOC, the multisite hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory for a total of 1,000 beds. To complete our Operating Room team at the Lugano Regional Hospital, we are looking for:
Operating Room Technicians (ORT) and/or Instrument Nurses (80-100%)
The people we are seeking will work in our two multidisciplinary operating blocks:
- Civic Hospital site (6 rooms): neurosurgery, orthopaedics and traumatology, surgery: general - hepatobiliary – thoracic - vascular - laparoscopic and reconstructive plastic, urology, robotics, otorhinolaryngology and gynaecology
- Italian Hospital site (4 rooms): general surgery - laparoscopic and reconstructive plastic, orthopaedics and traumatology, gynaecology, senology, ophthalmology and outpatient procedures.
Profile:
They have solid technical instrumental skills, particularly in neurosurgery, general surgery, thoracic surgery, robotics, vascular surgery and orthopaedics.
They can cope with significant workloads and manage difficult moments by setting priorities and making timely decisions. They are able to organise their time efficiently, focusing efforts on the most urgent activities. Sensitive to interpersonal dynamics, they maintain a positive attitude even in complex, highly stressful and unexpected situations and know how to work both independently and in a team.
Necessary requirements:
- Diploma as Operating Room Technician (ORT) and/or Instrument Nurse (specialisation preferred) (or recognised equivalent qualifications)
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar position, particularly in neurosurgery, general surgery, robotics, vascular surgery and orthopaedics instrumentation
- Availability and flexibility to work at both sites of the Lugano Regional Hospital (Civic Hospital and Italian Hospital) and to work shifts (including nights and on-call duties)
- In addition to Italian, knowledge of another national language is desirable
- Essential knowledge of main IT tools (Office package).
