Tax Auditor (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF95,000 - 105,000Role:
The organisation is a central institution of the Swiss federal administration and is responsible for essential tasks in the area of national and international taxation. Core areas include, among others, value-added tax, direct federal tax, withholding and stamp duties, as well as other federal levies.
Employees thus work in a technically demanding environment with high social relevance and numerous interfaces with companies, private individuals, cantons, and international authorities.
Responsibilities:
Planning and conducting independent, risk-based tax audits at companies in the Basel and Solothurn regions
In-depth examination of annual financial statements, financial accounting, and operational accounting as well as assessment of the underlying business transactions
Determination and professional justification of tax adjustments as well as professional discussion of the results with the affected taxpayers
Support and advice on the correct treatment and accounting of VAT-related matters
Assessment of economic contexts from a tax perspective and comprehensible documentation of audit results
Participation in specialist projects and exchange in interdisciplinary expert groups
Qualifications:
Professional training in accounting, fiduciary, auditing or taxation or a degree as a business economist FH or business administrator HF with relevant professional experience
Basic knowledge of VAT and auditing as well as enthusiasm for analytical and demanding audit activities
Ability to quickly grasp economic contexts and classify them from a tax perspective
High sense of responsibility, independence and strong assertiveness
Communicative personality with confident and professional demeanour
Fluent written and spoken German
