As a central staff unit of the Department of Finance, the General Secretariat plays a key role in the planning, coordination, and management of tasks in the areas of finance, taxes, personnel, and IT. The HR Management Team supports around 370 employees of the Department of Finance – professionally, personally, and proactively.

HR Business Partner (m/f/d)
Workload: 80-100%
Workplace: St. Gallen
What to expect
- You advise and support managers and employees of the Department of Finance in all matters along the HR lifecycle
- You design and accompany recruitment processes as well as the onboarding and offboarding phases of employees
- You support managers in the development and promotion of employees
- You plan and conduct workshops, training sessions, and information events on HR-relevant topics
- You ensure the correct application of personnel law as well as the uniform implementation of HR instruments and HR processes in the Department of Finance
- You accompany organisational and change processes and support the further development of the organisation
- You actively participate in HR projects and in the further development of HR processes and HR instruments
What distinguishes you
- You have a higher education in HR, business administration, or social sciences, ideally with further training in HR, such as the federal HR specialist certificate
- You bring professional experience in personnel management or a comparable HR function
- You advise managers competently and engage with different stakeholders on an equal footing
- You communicate clearly, confidently, and appropriately for the audience and have a good sense for conflict resolution
- You think strategically and networked, act solution-oriented, and keep an overview even in complex situations
- You convince through initiative, commitment, and assertiveness and actively shape changes
- You work in a structured, independent manner and are characterised by a high organisational ability
