As an Employee Loading/Unloading Centre, Site Support in Visp, Switzerland, you are the hub of our operational supply. You ensure that everything flows – from raw material to finished shipment to our customers.
In this role, you take responsibility for the flow of goods, coordinate various interfaces, and ensure that supply and shipping within the plant run smoothly. Your logistics expertise, experience in handling chemicals, and technical skills are required.
You are part of a dedicated team that takes responsibility, actively develops processes, and lives safety every day – thereby contributing significantly to Arxada's sustainable success.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Independent filling and unloading of BULK materials at the transfer stations
- Operation and monitoring of automatic drum, IBC, and canister filling systems in the loading and unloading centre
- Control and monitoring of the flow of goods as well as ensuring smooth operational supply and processing of shipping orders
- Reliable handling of tasks on the computer, including MS Office, SAP, ILES, Syncrotess, and our process control systems
- Close coordination and alignment with internal customers (operations, laboratories, and transport services) to ensure smooth processes
- Review of existing processes as well as active identification and implementation of optimisation opportunities
Qualifications and experience:
- Completed training as a logistician, chemical or pharmaceutical technologist, or comparable experience as an operator in chemical production or service companies
- Independent, flexible, and responsible working style with high accuracy and reliability
- Strong quality and safety awareness as well as a high personal standard to strengthen the safety culture
- Enjoyment in collaboration and communication with laboratory, internal operations, and driving services
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written
- Technical understanding and confident handling of common IT systems
- Willingness to perform on-call duty
