Technical Buyer
Responsibilities
- You analyse the global procurement markets for technical components, machines and services and develop sustainable product group and supplier strategies
- You negotiate framework agreements, prices, service level agreements (SLAs) and conditions with national and international technical partners in coordination with your superiors or specialist departments
- You evaluate and audit existing suppliers from the technical environment and build new strategic partnerships
- You identify cost reduction potentials (TCO approach for machines and systems) and secure our technical supply chains through proactive risk management
- Based on ERP data (e.g. for spare parts), you place orders on time and monitor them to ensure the systems never stand still
- You keep delivery dates under control, initiate dunning procedures in case of delay and confidently clarify quantity or price deviations
- You maintain close contact with the technical specialist departments such as maintenance and goods receipt to guarantee optimal material availability
- You keep article and supplier master data clean in the ERP system and continuously optimise it
Requirements
- Successfully completed commercial training with further education in procurement
- Several years of solid professional experience in operational and strategic purchasing, ideally in the technical field
- Negotiation skills, assertiveness as well as a pronounced analytical and process-oriented way of thinking
- Confident handling of common ERP systems (e.g. SAP, MS Dynamics, Infor) and MS Office (especially Excel)
- Very good German and business fluent English skills in spoken and written form for communication with international partners
