Assistant Psychologist within the Les Boréales Consultation

The General Psychiatry Service (PGE) is seeking an assistant psychologist at a 60% activity rate, on a permanent contract, for the Les Boréales consultation, specialised in the management of intrafamilial abuse. The starting date is scheduled for 1 November 2026.

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in the clinical aspects of intrafamilial violence and trauma, with training and clinical practice in these areas. This role combines clinical activity, co-therapy, supervision, training, and participation in the management of a multidisciplinary team deployed across the four sectors of the canton of Vaud.

Context

The Lausanne University Hospital Centre (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.

The General Psychiatry Service (PGE) provides psychiatric care for the adult population aged 18 to 65 in the Lausanne metropolitan area. Organised into specialised sections, it offers inpatient and outpatient care to meet the needs of patients and partners in the care network.

The Les Boréales consultation is a cantonal unit specialised in the care of people of all ages who have suffered or committed violence and/or sexual abuse within the family context. It also supports families and couples facing violent interactions as well as families or adolescents under judicial mandate for neglect, maltreatment, or sexual abuse.

The consultation offers various care modalities, including individual, couple, and family therapies, guidance and support interventions, home visits, and support groups.

Mission

• You provide direct or indirect clinical care for patients, individually, as couples, or families
• You participate in co-therapies and contribute to the development of therapeutic projects in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• You supervise and support team members as well as external professionals
• You participate in clinical, operational, and management meetings and contribute to their facilitation
• You design, organise, and deliver training and supervision in the fields of systemic therapy, abuse, domestic violence, adult psychiatry, and trauma
• You organise training seminars for professionals in training
• You participate, in collaboration with the responsible physician and the RUS, in coordinating a multidisciplinary team present in the four sectors of the canton
• You develop and maintain close collaboration with network partners.

Profile

• You hold the title of specialist psychologist in psychotherapy recognised by the FSP
• You have clinical experience in the fields of intrafamilial violence, abuse, and trauma
• You have experience in supervision, teaching, and co-intervention
• You have experience working with families and in networks
• You are comfortable working in a multidisciplinary environment and wish to engage in coordination and team support activities
• You demonstrate curiosity, commitment, creativity, and rigour in your professional practice
• You have French language proficiency at level C1; for non-French-speaking candidates, a certificate is required.
