Team Leader Transport & Dispatch 100% (m/f/d)

What is my role?

Our client is looking for a committed leader for the operational management of the Nebikon operations centre:

• Together with another team leader, you are responsible for the day-to-day business and manage transport, deployment and route planning as well as personnel and vehicle dispatch

• You ensure optimal utilisation, timely deliveries and high service quality

• Professional and disciplinary leadership of dispatchers and drivers is one of your core tasks

• You coach and develop your employees in a targeted manner

• Continuous optimisation of processes, structures and workflows in collaboration with other departments

• Responsibility for resource planning, working time control and absence management

• Support of demanding customers and partners as well as further development of services

• Ensuring all quality, safety and compliance requirements

• Close cooperation with transhipment, personnel planning, operations management and other operations centres

• Decision-making authority and escalation management in operational business

What do I need to be successful?

• Several years of professional experience in dispatch and in a leadership position in the transport, forwarding or logistics sector

• Completed further training in the transport and logistics sector, for example as a federally certified operations manager transport and logistics or equivalent qualification

• Proven leadership skills with experience in successfully managing teams

• Sound know-how in dispatch, transport control, capacity and resource management

• Ideally experience in the reorganisation and restructuring of transport companies

• Innovative thinking and willingness to critically review and optimise existing processes

• Established network in the transport industry is an advantage

• Confident handling of MS Office and dispatch systems

• French language skills are a plus
