For its Legal & Compliance Department, BOBST Mex SA is looking for its future Intellectual Property Counsel.
The Intellectual Property Counsel will report directly to the Group Intellectual Property Director and will be responsible for providing a diverse range of complex Intellectual Property services and advice to support BOBST's Group IP functions.
The person in charge will work with different stakeholders in the organization in supporting, analyzing, and handling complex IP related topics with a focus on digital business.
The Intellectual Property Counsel will report directly to the Group Intellectual Property Director and will be responsible for providing a diverse range of complex Intellectual Property services and advice to support BOBST's Group IP functions.
The person in charge will work with different stakeholders in the organization in supporting, analyzing, and handling complex IP related topics with a focus on digital business.
Key activities and deliverables include:
- Global responsibility for handling invention disclosures including prior art searches and drafting of patent applications in close collaboration with Research & Development department in a business driven manner
- Supporting a strategic patent portfolio management and decisionmaking process for worldwide filings and maintenance of patents
- Providing freedom to operate and patent validity opinions
- Advising all stakeholders, inventors and head of Research & Development department in all IP related matters
- Negotiating and drafting of IP related clauses in contracts and evaluating of same
- Performing M&A due diligences and IP litigations worldwide
- Executing internal trainings; fostering and supporting a digital IP culture
Required competencies and skills:
- Business and financial acumen, manages execution, problem solving, customer oriented, at ease in multi-cultural environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to deal with ambiguity
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Computer skills : MS Office
- University degree in Business Management, Law, Mechanics, Physics, Electronics or equivalent
- Qualified European Patent Attorney or National Patent Attorney Qualification is an advantage
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the domain
- Fluent in English, good command of French and German, an asset
