Specialised Clinical Nurse (ICLS) in the DAL & DNC
The Care Directorate of the Department of the Locomotor System (DAL) and the Department of Clinical Neurosciences (DNC) is seeking a Specialised Clinical Nurse (ICLS) at 70%, on a permanent contract. The starting date is scheduled for 1 December 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
The Department of the Locomotor System (DAL) and the Department of Clinical Neurosciences (DNC) bring together highly specialised teams caring for patients with complex pathologies. In this cross-functional role, you contribute to the development of advanced nursing practices, quality and safety of care, while promoting clinical innovation and the deployment of evidence-based practices.
Mission
- You perform a clinical expertise role based on the principles of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP)
- You support interprofessional collaboration to improve the quality of care
- You develop consultation, coaching and clinical guidance activities for teams
- You supervise and support the clinical group composed of ICLS from various services
- You develop prevention, health promotion and therapeutic support actions
- You contribute to the dissemination and implementation of new knowledge in clinical practice
- You promote and support nursing research within the departments, the institution and professional networks
- You participate in the strategic reflections of the Care Directorates by providing your advanced clinical expertise and proposing initiatives that foster excellence, innovation and continuous improvement of care.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing Sciences
- You have at least 5 years of clinical experience in your field of practice, including advanced clinical practice, team support and project management
- You have a strong interest in clinical innovation, continuous improvement and the development of evidence-based practices
- You are fluent in French and able to read and interpret scientific literature in English
- You are proficient with office tools, institutional applications and the electronic patient record
- You demonstrate clinical leadership, excellent interpersonal, educational and communication skills
- You have excellent analytical and synthesis skills, an ability to support change and a solid mastery of quality approaches and Evidence-Based Practice (EBP).
