Strategic Buyer for Construction Services (m/f/d)

Looking for more than just routine? As a Strategic Buyer for Construction Services, you are a central part of our team and responsible for the strategic procurement of construction services. You ensure that our projects are successfully implemented through cost-optimised and efficient procurement solutions. With your expertise, you lead purchasing projects, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure that our corporate goals are met and procurement policies are adhered to.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Develop category-specific procurement strategies together with the Category Leaders

• Conduct supplier analyses and market research for informed decisions

• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships

• Identify savings potentials and optimise cost structures

• Responsible for procurement projects to meet project objectives

• Monitor and report on supplier performance and compliance

• Support demand forecasting and planning within the category

• Risk analysis and implementation of measures to reduce risks

• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely procurement

Profile & Requirements:

• Completed studies in civil engineering, architecture, supply chain management, procurement or a related field

• Certifications such as CIPS or CPSM are advantageous

• At least 3 years of experience in strategic procurement and contract negotiations in construction services (including knowledge of relevant standards, e.g. SIA)

• Leadership skills and ability to implement category-specific strategies

• Strong analytical skills to assess market conditions and supplier performance

• Knowledge of risk and compliance management

• Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g. SAP Ariba, Akirolabs) and data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI, Sievo)
