About the job
The Ingenbohl Monastery, headquarters of an international community of sisters, is a lively place of encounter and togetherness as well as reflection. With great commitment and high mindfulness, we ensure the well-being of the very elderly nuns and external residents at the St. Josef retirement centre. The hospitality team of the monastery area is immediately seeking a motivated individual as:
Hospitality Staff 50-100% at the Monastery
Working week Monday – Sunday
Tasks
- Co-responsibility for competent service in all three refectories as well as in the guest area
- Preparing buffets and attending to them
- Proper storage of food and careful use of resources
- Setting up the mise en place for the meal service in compliance with hygiene regulations and HACCP guidelines
- Cleaning of communal areas and sanitary facilities
- Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene
- Creating a pleasant atmosphere for nuns, priests and guests
- Inventory control and replenishment of food and laundry
- Internal ordering of consumables and cleaning articles
- Active participation in events on the monastery hill
Expectations
- Solid service experience and knowledge of cleaning are advantageous
- Motivation and enjoyment in dealing with nuns, priests and guests
- Friendly, approachable manner and a positive demeanour
- Flexibility and ability to work in a team
- A fine sense for people
- Remaining calm and patient in lively moments
- Stamina and enjoyment of an active job with lots of movement
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
- Good oral and written German skills
