Job Description
As a Fullstack Developer (AI & Digital Health), you play a key role in the digital transformation of our clinics. You design and develop innovative AI-assisted software solutions that improve the patient journey while easing the workload of medical staff. You act as a technical bridge between medical requirements and cutting-edge technologies, ensuring that our digital health applications are secure, scalable, and user-friendly.
Qualifications
Your area of responsibility
Solution Development & Architecture: Design and implementation of scalable Fullstack web applications (Frontend & Backend) for clinical and administrative use.
AI Integration: Development and integration of machine learning models, LLMs (Large Language Models), and deterministic AI services (explainable AI) into existing and new applications to support diagnostic or administrative processes.
Data & Interfaces: Connecting applications to primary clinical systems (KIS/HIS/DPI) using modern interoperability standards (e.g. FHIR, HL7) and ensuring smooth data exchange.
Security by Design: Ensuring the highest security standards and compliance with data protection (LPD/GDPR) when processing sensitive patient data, in close coordination with the data protection officer.
DevOps & Cloud: Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines as well as managing cloud infrastructure for operating AI solutions.
Prototyping: Rapid development of proofs of concept (PoC) to evaluate the potential of new AI technologies for clinical daily use and make them tangible.
Collaboration: Close cooperation with data scientists, doctors, and nursing staff to create user-centred solutions ("User Centricity").
Your profile
Education: University degree in computer science, software engineering, or comparable qualification with a strong focus on modern web technologies.
Development Skills: Extensive experience in modern backend frameworks (e.g. Python, Node.js, Java) and frontend frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue.js), ideally on Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Looker). Knowledge of Python is preferred due to the AI focus.
AI Expertise: Practical experience integrating AI/ML components (e.g. OpenAI API, LangChain, Hugging Face, TensorFlow) into productive software environments.
Healthcare Sector: Experience with healthcare standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM) is an advantage but not mandatory if you are willing to learn. Experience with "Software as Medical Device" and corresponding certification processes is a major plus.
Working Method: Autonomous, agile (Scrum/Kanban), and solution-oriented working style. You have a "Can-Do" mentality and enjoy solving complex problems through code.
Personality: Innovative spirit coupled with quality awareness. You can make technical topics understandable for non-technical stakeholders.
Languages: Native German speaker with fluent/negotiation-level French (or vice versa); good English skills are required for collaboration within our regional language teams.
Tech Stack: Knowledge of containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud platforms (Azure/GCP), and version control (Git) is required.
