Company Coach 80 - 100%INITIATIVE, SOLUTION-ORIENTED, CONNECTING
The Secondary School and Vocational Training Office of the Canton of Zurich works closely with training companies, vocational schools, labour market organisations, as well as cantonal and national vocational education committees. The Department of Workplace Education supervises training in professional practice and inter-company courses, monitors their quality, and advises the parties to the training contracts.
From 01.02.2027 or by arrangement, we are looking for two company coaches at 80–100%.
Your area of responsibility
In the workplace training of apprentices, you primarily support training companies across all professional fields regarding the required quality standards. You engage with companies facing difficulties in their training activities. You establish a cooperative basis with the key persons in the training company, set target agreements, and support the companies in the introduction and implementation of measures. The aim is to improve training quality and sustainably strengthen the trainers. You work directly with the vocational inspectors of the respective professions. You establish contacts with industry associations and institutions to identify common fields of action and promote constructive collaboration. Additional specialist tasks as well as acting as a speaker in courses for trainers enrich your area of deployment.
Your profile
We are looking for two competent, resilient, and confident individuals with completed vocational training and at least 5 years of professional experience, ideally as a vocational inspector or in a similar role (training company, inter-company course centre). In addition, you have recognised coaching training. With your process-oriented working method and strong negotiation skills, you succeed in driving change and development in the training behaviour of companies in the long term. You have experience in conducting (difficult) conversations and convince through a transparent, goal-oriented, and interactive approach as well as your willingness to collaborate. We expect you to efficiently manage support processes and to enjoy shaping and further developing company coaching.
