The Blue Cross Bern-Solothurn-Freiburg is the leading specialist organisation for addiction issues with the areas of work prevention + health promotion, counselling + therapy as well as integration + companies. With around 90 employees and 260 volunteers at 13 locations, we implement diverse services financed by mandates from the cantons as well as donations and contributions from institutions and private individuals. We are politically and denominationally independent.
For our specialist office for alcohol and addiction problems in Bern, we are looking for a
Consultant
Workload 70%
(for reasons of team composition, a man is preferred)
Your tasks
Counselling and therapeutic support
- You advise and support people with addiction problems as well as their relatives in a systemic and solution-oriented manner.
- You conduct individual, couple and family counselling sessions.
- You support clients in challenging life situations and crises.
- You plan and conduct therapeutic group sessions.
- You collaborate on a case-by-case basis with internal and external specialist offices as well as other involved institutions.
Occupational health management (participation in the project team desired)
- You are interested in the topic "Addiction in the workplace" or occupational health management.
- You raise awareness in companies about addiction prevention & intervention (workshops and lectures).
Networking and specialist office work
- You maintain cooperation with authorities, social institutions, medical professionals and other network partners.
- You participate in projects and in the further development of our counselling services.
- You contribute to information events, specialist occasions and other public relations activities.
- You document your counselling work and complete the associated administrative tasks.
Your profile
- You have a tertiary degree in social work, psychology, social pedagogy or a comparable qualification for the role.
- You possess communication and counselling skills and can professionally handle demanding situations.
- Further training in counselling is an advantage.
- Ideally, you already have counselling experience, preferably in the addiction, social or psychosocial field.
- Experience in leading groups is an advantage.
- You are interested in working with people with addiction problems and their relatives.
- You work independently, in a structured and reliable manner.
- You enjoy interdisciplinary work and take pleasure in networking.
- You have good written communication skills and are confident in handling administrative and digital tools.
