About the job
The municipal property portfolio comprises around 1,200 properties and a land area of just over two million square metres. This makes the city of Thun one of the major property owners in the canton of Bern. The city mainly requires the properties to fulfil its tasks.
Due to retirement as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement, we are looking for a motivated person as
Your tasks:
- Responsibility for the efficient operation and maintenance of municipal buildings and technical systems (HVAC, electrical, security) of the assigned school, kindergarten and sports facility within the service area.
- Organisation and execution of maintenance and cleaning work.
- Minor repairs, seasonal work, supervision and coordination of external service providers.
- Ensuring cleanliness, functionality and safety of the properties.
- Deputising within the team, on-call duty including evening and weekend shifts.
You bring with you:
- Federal VET Diploma as a specialist in operational maintenance or basic craft training with professional experience.
- Willingness to undertake further training as a caretaker with a federal professional certificate.
- Technical understanding and experience in building operations.
- Teamwork skills, assertiveness, service-oriented working style.
- Strong enjoyment of service-oriented interaction with customers, partners and users in the respective area of deployment (education, sport, services, etc.).
- Good IT skills (MS Office) and driving licence category B.
