About the job
The Winterthur City Police, with around 250 employees, is committed daily to a safe and livable city. To strengthen the main department of Security and Traffic, we are looking for you – a dedicated and motivated personality – as Head of Department Special Services.Your Tasks
- Professional and personnel management of the subordinate services (EG internal service, Bike Police, and traffic monitoring/ordinance fines) as well as participation in the management team of the main department
- Creating deployment and specialist concepts / ensuring operational readiness
- Leading or participating in internal and external projects, working groups, etc.
- Performing fire tour on-call duty as well as leading major events as incident commander/overall incident commander
- Handling special assignments and tasks according to instructions from the Head of the Security and Traffic Main Department and/or management
Your Profile
- Federal specialist certificate as a police officer or equivalent certificate and several years of practical police experience (mandatory).
- Several years of leadership experience with corresponding further training (FLG I+II, CAS FIP ideally already completed, HFP, etc.) or a professional/university degree with corresponding professional and leadership experience
- Experience in planning deployments as well as experience as a trainer desired
- Cooperative working and leadership style as well as a flair for motivating employees for change
- Strong social skills and high resilience, combined with good planning and coordination skills
