Mechanic for Chuck Overhaul
Your responsibilities:
- Analysis of chucks and clamping collets using measuring instruments
- Inspection of collet cones, spindle seats, locking cams and bearings
- Dismantling of clamping components
- Identification and replacement of wear parts
- Reassembly of assemblies according to manufacturer recommendations
- Adjustment of clamping pressure and stroke
- Positioning and centring of chucks relative to the spindle axis
- Empty and load tests, including inspection of a batch of test parts
Your profile:
- Federal VET Diploma as production mechanic / polymechanic, micromechanic or equivalent training
- Experience in automatic bar turning is a major advantage
- Strong command of metrology and precision measuring instruments
- Good knowledge of precision mechanics and clamping systems
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and manufacturer technical documentation
- Strong organisational skills, especially to minimise machine downtime
- Meticulous person, with attention to detail and concern for precision
