Deputy Head of Nursing Service (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Representing the Head of Nursing Service during absences and taking on defined tasks
• Responsibility for bed disposition and coordination of personnel deployment within the approved staffing plan including skill and grade mix
• Direct leadership and promotion of staff in the subordinate areas (hospital hygiene and infection prevention, wound expertise, social counselling and case management) as well as participation in case management.
• Ensuring and further developing the quality of nursing at the location
• Commitment to the strategic and operational development of interprofessional processes
• Leadership and participation in projects at the location and at the level of Solothurner Spitäler AG in coordination with the Head of Nursing Service as well as ensuring a positive workplace culture at the location and a cooperative collaboration in the interprofessional and interdisciplinary area

Profile

• Qualified nurse HF/FH or equivalent training (with foreign diploma recognised by the SRK)
• Additional training in management and personnel leadership in healthcare, preferably a MAS degree or on the way to it
• Several years of professional and leadership experience in outpatient and inpatient nursing in acute care
• Good business management as well as solution-oriented thinking and acting
• High social skills as well as modern leadership understanding as a team-oriented, empathetic and resilient personality
• Experience in collaboration with other healthcare providers and enjoyment of interprofessional and interdisciplinary work
