Grischelectra AG (GEAG) is a legally independent electric company in which the Canton of Graubünden, Graubünden municipalities, Graubünden hydroelectric companies, Graubünden industries with high energy consumption as well as the Rhaetian Railway collectively hold 70 per cent of the share capital. Repower SA and Axpo Solutions AG hold the remaining 30 per cent in GEAG. The foundation of GEAG in 1978 aimed, among other things, to utilise the energy contributed by the Graubünden municipalities and the Canton of Graubünden.
The Government of the Canton of Graubünden has the right to submit three nomination proposals to the board of directors, intended for the general meeting, for positions on the company’s board of directors (cantonal representatives). One of these positions must be publicly advertised for re-election at the next general meeting.
Within the framework of the nomination process, the Canton of Graubünden is looking for a competent and forward-looking person who
- is familiar with the context of energy policy and is able to represent the interests of the Canton,
- has experience in strategic processes and is able to contribute accordingly,
- has an entrepreneurial spirit and knowledge of the energy economy,
- has a connection to the Canton; a connection to the Engadin region would be particularly desirable.
