YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The drive system engineers are responsible within the assigned project for the cost- and schedule-compliant implementation of the drive train - from the concept phase to approval and handover of the vehicle to the customer.
- Design and dimensioning of electric drive systems (e.g., pantograph, power electronics, transformer, motor, energy storage)
- Integration of components into our vehicles
- Technical coordination with other departments such as software engineering, installation planning, mechanical engineering, and purchasing
- Creation of concepts, specifications, and electrical diagrams
- Collaboration with customers, suppliers, and experts
- Performing calculations and simulations to optimize the drive concept regarding energy consumption and travel duration
- Occasional support with offers
- Participation in the initial commissioning of the vehicles
- Creation of type test specifications and support during type tests
- Analysis and support with technical problems in operation - basic knowledge in high voltage technology and/or EMC is an advantage
- Independent work in the project as well as proactive and transparent communication with all parties involved
YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Completed master’s degree in electrical engineering or a comparable field
- Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: electric drive technology, power electronics, or high voltage technology
- Enthusiasm for rail vehicle technology
- Ideally several years of professional experience in a similar environment
- Open, communicative, independent, assertive, and persistent personality
- Willingness to perform practical assignments on our vehicles (travel activity approx. 10-20%)
- Enjoyment of working in a dynamic environment
- Good German and English skills (level B2)
