Job Description
We are looking for a Cutting Manager & Deputy Operations Manager within our metal framework workshop.
Reporting to the Metal Framework Operations Manager, you are responsible for organising and ensuring the smooth running of the cutting sector and actively participate in production management. As deputy, you support the Operations Manager in daily operational management and cover for them in their absence.
Your main responsibilities are:
Management of the cutting sector
Organise and plan the sector's activities, allocate resources, establish and monitor detailed planning, track production progress and implement necessary corrective measures, hours and productivity, while ensuring the availability of materials, files and production means.
Quality and safety management
Ensure compliance with quality requirements, EN 1090 standard, production procedures and safety rules. Monitor non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
Team management and development
Supervise and support the team, organise the integration and training of new employees, develop versatility and monitor skills and performance.
Continuous improvement
Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Actions (AIC) and Lean initiatives, identify improvement opportunities and ensure implementation and follow-up of actions within your scope.
Intersectoral coordination
Ensure smooth flow between different production sectors, anticipate downstream needs, identify bottlenecks and coordinate necessary resources.
Deputy Operations Manager
Support the Operations Manager in daily operational management and cover for them in their absence, within the delegated authority. Contribute to the overall coordination of activities and production continuity.
Qualifications
We are looking for an organised, autonomous and solution-oriented person with proven experience in an industrial production environment, ideally in metal construction.
The following skills are required:
- Technical or professional training in mechanics, metallurgy, industrial production or equivalent training
- Proven experience in an industrial production environment
- Experience in team leadership or supervision
- Good knowledge of production processes and flow management
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Ability to manage priorities and make operational decisions
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- High sensitivity to quality and safety requirements
- Strong interest in continuous improvement and Lean methods
- Leadership, autonomy and sense of responsibility
- Good communication and coordination skills
