Team Leader: Social Counselling

For our specialist unit for residential and nursing homes and convalescence, we are looking for a committed team leader who enjoys leading and supporting employees, working in an interprofessional environment, and actively further developing processes. The professionals in the team advise patients and relatives on questions regarding the transition to a residential and nursing home or a convalescence clinic and provide support with social insurance law issues as well as social problems that become apparent in connection with hospital discharge.

What to expect

• You lead the seven team members and bear the professional, personnel and organisational responsibility
• You advise and support employees in complex case constellations and take on your own casework if necessary
• You promote collaboration with treatment teams and external partners, especially residential and nursing homes and authorities, and ensure the professional quality of the work
• You analyse and optimise processes in discharge management and develop and update concepts, information sheets and work aids

What you bring

• Completed degree in Social Work (BSc/BA/MSc)
• Several years of professional experience, ideally in healthcare, social welfare or adult protection
• Initial leadership experience or motivation and potential to grow into a team leadership role
• Good knowledge of the Swiss social insurance system and aftercare landscape as well as interest in process management, change processes and the further development of procedures
• Good German skills, good French skills are an advantage
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style as well as resilience, empathy and teamwork skills
