Positions: Production Engineer / Continuous Improvement Interns
Location: Sonceboz-Sombeval and Boncourt, Switzerland
Do you want to learn on the job and contribute to optimising our production workshops? Several Production Engineer / Continuous Improvement Intern positions are available from February 2027 within our various production units. Discover concrete and stimulating internship topics, at the heart of our industrial challenges, interacting with our Production, Maintenance, Quality and Methods teams.
Proposed internship themes:
Theme 1: Optimisation of flows and performance of a new assembly workshop
· Assist the Production Unit Manager in managing production activities.
· Lead a project to optimise the cycle time on a new assembly process.
· Contribute to the analysis and optimisation of flows and stocks within the workshop.
Theme 2: Definition of a new industrial layout
· Define the future industrial layout to enable the installation of new assembly lines while optimising flows.
· Conduct a VSM analysis and a "spaghetti flow" study to examine the organisation allowing a production operator to work on several sub-assembly lines.
· Centralise and plan the various stages of the move using Microsoft Project.
Theme 3: Lean Manufacturing and improvement of industrial performance
· Analyse issues encountered on site and identify pragmatic solutions.
· Lead or contribute to improvement projects focusing on safety, quality, costs, deadlines and performance.
· Work in collaboration with the Production, Maintenance, Quality and Methods teams.
· Participate in the implementation and monitoring of action plans.
· Implement analysis and problem-solving tools adapted to the situations encountered.
· Support the deployment of improvements and measure the results obtained.
These activities will allow you to directly contribute to the industrial performance of our workshops and develop solid experience in continuous improvement approaches in a demanding production environment.
· Strong interest in industry and production environments.
· Enjoyment of fieldwork and interaction with operational teams.
· Curiosity, dynamism and good interpersonal skills.
· Analytical ability, autonomy and initiative.
· Interest in Lean Manufacturing approaches and continuous improvement.
· Engineering student in the final year of training (Master’s level or equivalent), specialising in industrial engineering, production systems or an equivalent field.
