The cantonal tax administration is responsible for the enforcement of cantonal tax legislation, the partial collection of state and municipal taxes, the collection of direct federal tax, and the refund of withholding tax. It supervises and provides professional support to the municipal tax administrations.

Lawyer in the Legal Service of the Cantonal Tax Administration (m/f), 80-100%
What to expect- Independent decision-making or participation in decisions in various procedures (additional and penalty taxes, objections, tax waivers, tax exemptions)
- Preparation of opinions in appeal procedures
- Advising the head and departments of the Cantonal Tax Administration on tax law matters and providing oral and written information to other authorities and taxpayers
- Preparation of statements on political initiatives and participation in legislation and the establishment of practice
- Administrative tasks within the area of responsibility
What you bring
- Completed law degree (lic. iur. or Master) and several years of legal professional experience
- Practical experience in tax law is an advantage
- Analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and enjoyment of internal and external customer contact to confidently navigate the tension between taxpayers and the state
- High communication skills, natural assertiveness, and enthusiasm for tax law are essential and distinguish you
- Enjoyment or interest in legislative work
