The Digital Transformation and Augmented Intelligence Directorate (DTN-IA) leads the digital transformation of the institution, in a context of enhanced data-driven management of hospital processes. It creates, integrates, and manages all IT applications of one of the most efficient hospital information systems to support the clinical and logistical activities of the Geneva University Hospitals. With a fleet of more than 13,500 workstations, 1,300 servers for over 250 applications serving all staff, available 24/7, the DTN-IA manages an HR information system for the 13,000 employees of the HUG and the 7 other Geneva institutions.

In this context, the DTN-IA creates a cutting-edge integrated patient record and contributes to the prominence of the HUG thanks to recognised functional richness and close collaborations with all healthcare professionals and their transversal management. Furthermore, the DTN-IA integrates state-of-the-art and everyday biomedical equipment as well as specialised applications for all medical-technical platforms.

Job Description

Within the DTN-IA, this position is attached to the Operations Service. As Domain Manager, you oversee the operational security of information systems with a team of seven specialists while maintaining strong technical involvement. Thus, you support your team in resolving complex incidents, participate in on-call duties, and intervene during security events.

In your management role, you develop the skills and organisation of your team to strengthen the operational security capabilities and the Security Operations Center (SOC). You organise monitoring and lead awareness actions within the DTN-IA and the business units.

In terms of governance and strategy, you contribute to defining, implementing, and ensuring compliance with information system security policies (ISSP) as well as deploying the cybersecurity strategy. You ensure compliance with operational governance, participate in the major change management committee (CAB), and manage the priorities, performance indicators, and objectives of your domain.

Together with your team, you define and implement security projects aimed at strengthening the institution's cybersecurity posture. You participate in "Security by Design" reviews of new projects, validate the connection of technical and biomedical equipment according to the validation process, and contribute to the Incident Recovery Plan / Incident Continuity Plan programme.

You manage vulnerability handling, ensure follow-up on remediation actions, conduct security investigations, and organise regular and appropriate audits and penetration tests.

You also guarantee the operational maintenance of cybersecurity platforms and services, including firewalls, proxies, authentication and authorisation mechanisms, privileged access management solutions, PKI, Vault, IAM, EDR, as well as hardening and protection devices for information systems.

As head of the SOC, you supervise detection and incident response activities relying on the SIEM. You organise alert analysis and qualification, coordinate technical investigations and incident response, participate in crisis management, and develop detection, investigation, and response capabilities against cyber threats.

Finally, you contribute to the design and evolution of secure architectures in collaboration with the DTN-IA teams and the Information Systems Security Manager.

Qualifications

You hold a Master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or an equivalent qualification complemented by one or more recognised cybersecurity certifications.

You have more than 10 years of experience in operational security of information systems and over 5 years in managing technical teams. Experience gained in a critical environment is an asset.

You are able to operate in a complex and cross-functional environment, demonstrating leadership, communication skills, and the ability to unite. Your profile combines technical expertise, leadership, and interpersonal skills, making you a key player to meet the strategic and operational challenges of the role.

Additional Information

The role requires availability to participate in on-call duty, including outside regular hours, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
