Automation Engineer (FH/HF)

As part of the expansion of our machine and plant digitalisation, we are strengthening our team with a new position:

Automation Engineer (FH/HF)

• Co-development, support and implementation of our strategy for plant digitalisation across all swisspor sites
• Management of projects related to digital transformation in the field of Operational Technology (OT)
• Development, planning and implementation of the latest functionalities and standards regarding the digitalisation of manufacturing processes.
• Support in the establishment of new plants and procurement of equipment as well as evaluation of hardware and software partners
• Design of innovative automation concepts for new production plants in close collaboration with process engineering and suppliers
• Further development and standardisation of existing plants
• Design and implementation of innovative automation concepts for new and existing production plants.
• Active at all levels of the automation pyramid (ERP, MES, SCADA, PLC)

• Completed education (degree or apprenticeship) in a technical field, preferably automation technician, systems technician, computer scientist
• High degree of independence and a practical, hands-on working style.
• Advanced education (HF/FH) in automation and/or computer science
• You have experience commissioning industrial control systems and visualisation systems such as Siemens S7 and/or WinCC.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and abroad (Europe)
• Very good German and English skills
